THE U.S. vs. JOHN LENNON

The new movie about John Lennon should make anyone paranoid about opposing Bush. I was surprised by one thing in the film. The film seems to indicate that the Nixon administration attempted to deport Lennon and Ono on the false charge that Lennon had smoked marijuana. Shortly after they won their case, I happened to spend a day in the country with John and Yoko and some friends. We all smoked a joint. I hadn’t realized it was John’s first time.
